PAMOJA ETHIOPIA
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is a country situated in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Eritrea to the north, Djibouti to the northeast, Somalia to the east, Kenya to the south, and Sudan to the west.
Reflect has been in existence in Ethiopia since 1996. In April of 2000, AA Ethiopia organised a review of its Reflect programmes to assess the effectiveness of Reflect in teaching literacy and improving levels of participation in development. The programmes also aim at assessing the potential for integration of the Reflect process into ActionAid supported development initiatives. In December 2000 a national training of Trainers workshop was held with facilitation from Uganda and South Africa. This has generated a new momentum around Reflect in many different organisations.
