The ICAE Seventh World Assembly was held in Nairobi Kenya from 17th to 19th January 2007.Some representatives from Pamoja Africa Reflect Network attended this assembly, in which many issues surrounding Adult Literacy were discussed. - CIRAC VI Meeting
Members of the Circle for International Reflect Action and Communication (CIRAC) held the 6th meeting in Senegal, in February 2007.This is a meeting held annually to discuss the management of the global REFLECT network. PAMOJA has two representatives on the CIRAC Coordination Team (CCT). - The STAR Action Research Workshop
The STAR Action Research (AR) writers' workshop was held recently in Kampala Uganda. Its main purpose was to give a forum to review and critic the STAR AR final evaluation report and to develop the Final Action Research findings report. The workshop brought together all the STAR ARcoordinators and other STAR EC partner agencies in Uganda to learn from the experiences.
It is anticipated that the final evaluation report and the findings report will be finished during the first quarter of the year. - REFLECT Training of trainers workshop
PAMOJA-Zambia organised a Training of Trainers' (TOT) workshop recently. This was intended to build the capacity of people teaching communities on how to use the REFLECT methodology.. - Loss of Board Member
Pamoja recently lost one of the members on the Board of Trustees for the organisation. Ms. Rosemary Aketch Odong was the director of CDRN at the time of her death. May her Soul Rest in Eternal peace. - Ethiopia's Visit
Members of the Alternative basic education(ABE) programme visited the PAMOJA secretariat in Kampala Uganda recently. The ABE programme, which is implemented in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, aims at creating access of education for disadvantaged children. PAMOJA and ABEshared experiences and learnings with the guests and also supported their visit by being their guide in all their field trips. - The STAR Guide Workshop
The STAR guide Develpment workshop was held recently. This document, which is now at press, targets all STAR practitioners in different parts of the world.
