What is PAMOJA?

PAMOJA Africa Reflect Network or popularly called PAMOJA is an Africa-wide non-lucrative, participatory education and development initiative established in 2002 by African Reflect practitioners, to facilitate learning, sharing and continuing evolution of Reflect practices in Africa. It forms part of CIRAC (Circle for International Reflect Action and Communication), which is a global organization of Reflect practitioners, set up in 2000. The UNESCO literacy award for year 2003 went to CIRAC!

  • The International Council for Adult Education (ICAE)
    The ICAE Seventh World Assembly was held in Nairobi Kenya from 17th to 19th January 2007.Some representatives from Pamoja Africa Reflect Network attended this assembly, in which many issues surrounding Adult Literacy were discussed.
  • CIRAC VI Meeting
    Members of the Circle for International Reflect Action and Communication (CIRAC) held the 6th meeting in Senegal, in February 2007.This is a meeting held annually to discuss the management of the global REFLECT network. PAMOJA has two representatives on the CIRAC Coordination Team (CCT).
  • REFLECT Training of trainers workshop
    PAMOJA-Zambia organised a Training of Trainers' (TOT) workshop recently. This was intended to build the capacity of people teaching communities on how to use the REFLECT methodology.
